We have redacted key information due to the sensitivity of this project and to provide anonymity to the client.

Our staff were involved in a design and build scheme to construct a world class building. In support of the project BIM strategy, we constructed a 3-dimensional model, which was subsequently linked to both the programme (4D) and cost (5D). Simulations could be run which illustrated the methodology and build sequence against timelines with increasing earned value. Through accurate reporting and updated programmes, it was also possible to simulate actual progress against planned completion. Through these visualisations, any delay and consequential effects immediately became apparent. This became an important and invaluable tool that the project manager used to manage the scheme.

The model that we constructed, did not replace the detailed design models being constructed and federated by the architect, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams. Our model was a simplified form of the overall structure for visualisation purposes in advance of the detailed design being finalised. However, we have the capability to undertake and retrospectively link the same 4D and 5D data to the actual BIM model if a greater level of detail and accuracy is required.

Whilst ReSolv3D® do not profess to be able to undertake and manage the entire BIM strategy for a project, we can construct and link the model to follow your BIM Execution Plan, and also facilitate the linking of the model to your Common Data Environment.

The model we created for this scheme was also used for health and safety purposes; for viewing the construction sequence and developing safe systems of work which were then briefed to the workforce.

ReSolv3D® have the capability to model any infrastructure, building or construction element. We would embrace the opportunity of being part of your scheme and providing an innovative and dynamic aspect to it.
